Acupuncture is a form of treatment with the principle that there are energetic pathways, or channels, throughout the body that can influence the associated internal organs and structures.
Energy/Qi (pronounced "chee") from these pathways can surface
at various points on the body, called acupoints. Each of these Acupoints serves as an access route, to the deeper Meridians.
Inserting needles at acupoints stimulates them & activates channels & the body’s natural healing abilities.
Acupuncture can combat pain, resolve digestive or fertility issues headaches, allergies…
Each point on a selected meridian has a specific function.
TCM Acupuncture prescription means selection of a group of Acupoints to treat a condition or disease, based on the TCM.
The ancient practice of acupuncture originated in China more than 3000 years ago. The initial texts of acupuncture that have described it as a medical system documented for the diagnosis and treatment, is in the Huang Di Nei Jing or Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, written 100 BCE.
We believe many infertility challenges arise from stress, life style, and bodily deficiencies.
Fertility Acupuncture and TCM have a holistic root cause approach when it comes to the fertility challenges of couples.
Acupuncture is an essential add on, to any couple’s plan who is trying to overcome the infertility challenge, naturally, or through IUI/IVF. If you are investing so much time, effort and money to go for cycle monitoring and getting ready for IVF or IUI, it only makes more sense to improve your chances as much as you can.
Acupuncture can improve the quality of eggs and sperms, to help with infertility and regulate the menstrual cycles, enhance general health, reduce stress to control anxiety, improve sleep and increase energy. It can increase sperm motility and quantity. It can balance the endocrine system, improve blood flow to the pelvic cavity, increase the chances of IVF and IUI, and stimulate the neurotransmitters that trigger the production of (GnRH, or Gonadotropin-Releasing hormone). Chinese herbal medicine can assist similarly.
A study published in the journal Fertility & Sterility found acupuncture improves pregnancy success rate by 50% in women undergoing in-vitro fertilization, or IVF.
[Paulus W, et. Al., Influence of acupuncture on pregnancy rate in patients who undergo ART. J Fertility & Sterility, 2002 April;77(4):721-4.]
Cosmetic acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can provide a safe, effective, natural and drug-free approach to reduce the signs of aging. A facial rejuvenation using this ancient technique can improve muscle tone of face and neck, while addressing the underlying imbalances that may have contributed to the aging process.
Why does skin sag?
According to traditional Chinese medicine, wrinkles begin internally from weakness and imbalance of flow of Qi (pronounced “ chee “ ). Qi circulates within the pathways of energy ( called meridians ), throughout the body including face. Qi flows along meridians and provides nourishment, support and energy to every cell, tissue , muscle and organ. As we get older, it becomes more difficult for the Qi to flow upwards to “ lift “ the face. This leads to inadequate muscle tone, and over time, wrinkles and sagging skin. There are a variety of things that can contribute to the aging process, like poor diet, poor digestion, bad circulation, emotional and environmental stress and etc…
Why cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is an effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging. It is based on the principles of TCM, thin disposable needles will be inserted on the face. This will increase the local circulation to the face and stimulates collagen production, giving a firm look to the skin with rejuvenated complexion.
